My title I thought was a slightly better way of saying 'where to start?'. I am massively new to this blogger stuff and basically don't understand any of it. But as a prospective PR practitioner I feel blogging is the way forward... the new 'news central'.
I am currently a PR student in Leeds (the best student city in England) and although I would like to say my take to blogging was optional; it really wasn't. As part of my course i have to understand and place myself in the world of new technology. I'm only 19 and i already feel out dated! Not so out dated that i don't understand Facebook (the best and worst thing to come into my life; I'm not on it 24 hours a day but when it comes to a choice of doing work of Facebooking Facebook wins hands down!).
Since I have no particular interests in any thing, I'm a bit of an all rounder i.e. i like all music, food, clothing and have a general interest in all aspects of life I thought I would blog about the new things in my life and the new things I'm trying, by this i mean the new TV shows I'm watching, new nights out I'm trying, new drinks I've tasted, new clothing, new stores etc...
Also since I'm just starting out in the world of PR I will be updating you on my progress. So far I'm a second year student and I am in the process of searching for a job for a full years paid placement for my third year. I'm torn between staying in Leeds where all my new friends are as well as every thing i know and moving to London where i feel the better placements are, also my mum has just moved to middlesex from where i used to live in Nottinghamshire up-north. This move means that loving in London would help me save money as I would live at home but then again could i cope with living with my parents again?
On top of the search for a full years placement I have to get a part time placement this year to gain experience and show some achievements and progression in my portfolio.
Being a second year student means I have lived the Leeds life for just over a year in which time I have had my fair share of drunken nights out. Some of which I would recommend to any one such as Mint on a Thursday or Mezz on a Monday and some nights out of which i would not recommend to any one such as Oceana on a Wednesday. On a Wednesday its full of big-headed sports twats who think they are Gods gift and even if you can cope with that the music is appalling. So unless I was blind drunk I would never return there.
The photo is of one of the best nights out I have had this year. I will soon be blogging again with my new news in the life of a Leeds student.
